Half and Full Day Rides

This is just a sample of some of our shorter rides.

. The Billy Goat. A 2.5 - 3 hour. hour ride for novices to advanced riders, climbing up through old-growth eucalypt forest. Wonder at a view that encompasses the waters of Bass Strait, the superb Great Western Tiers and the rich farmland of the Mersey Valley. There are creek crossing and challenging terrain.

. Dynon's Flat. A 2.5 - 3 hour ride to suit intermediate to advanced riders. It has it all – winding tracks to trot, spectacular views, morning tea by the Mersey River and a river flat for a long canter. Bring your swimmers in summer to splash about in the Mersey.

. Michelle's Bend. A full-day ride for intermediate and advanced riders, it canters through pine forest with challenging terrain.

. The Dasher River. This 2.5-hour ride is especially for the novice riders, with the first part of the ride wandering along the banks of the Mersey and Dasher rivers. Morning tea is served on the banks of the Dasher before an upward climb to a spectacular view of the Gog Range, Great Western Tiers and Mt Roland. It's a great horse ride, without the fear factor, and it's walking all the way.

. The Bridle Track. A 2 - 2.5 hour ride for intermediate riders along the river flats of the Mersey and Dasher which provides the opportunity to trot and canter. Views of Mt Roland, the Great Western Tiers and Gog Range. A great short ride for visitors ­­with some experience.

. Fern Track. A 2.5-hour ride for novices to advanced, taking in forest scenery of towering white gums, beautiful blackwoods and huge manferns.

. Sheffield. This is a big day out for experienced riders and is guaranteed to flex your horse-riding muscles. The ride includes sections of the Tom Quilty endurance course and the Tasmanian Trail, riding through native forest, pine plantation, undulating farmland and eucalypt forests. The Tom Quilty Gold Cup is the national endurance riding championship of Australia and is held annually in a different state each year. For a real touch of endurance riding we can even provide a *past winner of this prestigious event as your guide.
