OTHER ATTRACTIONS

Cradle Mountain. Cradle is probably Tasmania's most significant wilderness icon and it's only 75km from our front gate.

Visit Waldheim Chalet, Walk Dove Lake or hike Marions Lookout and be back in quiet of the shearers quarters 60min. later.

Fishing. The Mersey, Dasher and Minnow rivers all abound with trout and there are plenty odf opportunities for the talented trout fisherman.

Bushwalking. The nearby Great Western Tiers, Mount Roland and Mersey River offer some of the best short walks in Tasmania.

There is everything from 20min. walks to spectacular lookouts to serious hikes to the top of the spectacular Mount Roland.

Caving. Mole Creek Carst National Park and the World Heritage listed Marakoopa and King Solomines Caves are literaly just over the hill.

Vineyards. There are numerous boutique vineyards in the area (the closest adjoins "Armitstead") and Tasmania's premier wine route is less than an hour away.

Gourmet Foods. World class cheeses, black french truffles, gourmet european chocolate and sensational salmon. All in a 25km. radius!

Sheffield. Town of Murals. Is our nearest town. Only 12km. away

Deloraine. Home of Australia's largest craft festival and home to many of Tasmania's most talented artists.
